Job Description
The Cybersecurity Intern at Pure Storage will be responsible for enhancing the security of storage solutions by identifying risks, improving secure development processes, and collaborating with engineering teams. This role offers hands-on experience in threat modeling, product security assessments, and DevSecOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify security risks in storage solutions

- Communicate security risks to engineering teams
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with an expected graduation date in or after December 2025.
- Strong understanding of security fundamentals, including secure software development, cryptography, and vulnerability assessment.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, C, C++, Go, or Java.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems, networking, and security tooling, including static analysis, fuzz testing, penetration testing, and container security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate security risks effectively to engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Initiative to work independently and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work 12 consecutive weeks full-time during Summer 2025.
- Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.
- Expected to be present in the office based in Santa Clara.
