Job Description
The role involves leading Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and programs across the APJ region, ensuring workplace safety, regulatory adherence, and fostering a proactive safety culture through collaboration, inspection, and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain regional EHS compliance across multiple countries in APAC APJ.
- Implement and harmonize global EHS programs at regional sites.
- Monitor and interpret local EHS legislation updates to ensure compliance.
- Lead incident management, including reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Conduct site inspections and participate in EHS audits to verify documentation and resolve non-conformities.
- Prepare and lead regional EHS meetings, training sessions, and communication initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven ability to manage EHS compliance and programs across diverse countries within the APAC APJ region, with a deep understanding of local regulatory frameworks outside of a single country, including multinational exposure.
- Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining core safety programs, including risk assessment, incident investigation root cause analysis, emergency response, and site inspection protocols.
- Strong capability in verifying, updating, and maintaining formal EHS documentation, and participating in internal or external EHS audits to ensure organizational health and safety.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills to proactively engage and cooperate with non-EHS stakeholders such as HR, Legal, and Facilities to drive and execute required EHS actions and embed safety culture.
- An applicable Safety Certification or educational background in Environmental, Health, or Safety is essential for this role.
