Job Description

The SLED Account Executive at Pure Storage is responsible for driving sales of data storage solutions to State, Local, and Education customers, focusing on new customer acquisition and expanding existing relationships while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop customized solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of data storage solutions to State, Local, and Education customers.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the SLED customer base.
  • Develop compelling value proposition strategies based on customer needs and procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create customized data storage solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and value.
  • Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans for new customer acquisition.
  • Manage a robust pipeline of sales activity to meet or exceed quotas.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in SLED sales, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of the SLED procurement process, including experience with RFIs, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience working with Federal system integrators.
  • 5 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10M per year in revenues.
  • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency.
  • Expertise leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, while fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to sell the company's story and the unique value proposition of storage solutions.
  • Avid hunter with proven prospecting skills, consistently opening doors to new customers.
