Job Description

The role involves managing and growing strategic enterprise accounts within the mining industry by selling data management and storage solutions, developing long-term account strategies, and building trusted relationships with key stakeholders to drive business growth and address complex data challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi-year account strategies for mining clients.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities within mining accounts.
  • Manage sales pipeline, opportunity qualification, and forecasting.
  • Build industry expertise on mining challenges, trends, and procurement processes.
  • Engage with C-level and operational stakeholders to build trusted relationships.
  • Present proposals, business cases, and value propositions to clients.
  • Lead negotiations, contract discussions, and deal closures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to deliver customer solutions.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, or business development, ideally within infrastructure, data platforms, or enterprise technology.
  • Proven experience selling to the Mining and/or Energy industry, with a strong understanding of large enterprise customers.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and large strategic accounts.
  • Strong balance of technical depth and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate technology into business outcomes.
  • Excellent understanding of enterprise IT procurement processes and vendor management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with C-level executives, IT leaders, operational stakeholders, and procurement teams within mining organizations.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver compelling executive-level presentations, proposals, and business cases that clearly articulate value and ROI.
  • Ability to lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and deal closures in line with company frameworks.
  • Ability to collaborate with Solutions Architects, Channel Partners, Marketing, and Leadership to deliver customer outcomes.
  • Willingness to work onsite as required.
