Job Description

The Fed Civ Account Executive at Pure Storage is responsible for driving sales of data storage solutions to Federal Civilian customers, focusing on new customer acquisition and expanding existing relationships. This role involves identifying customer needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing a robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of data storage solutions to Federal Civilian customers.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the Federal Civilian customer base.
  • Develop compelling value proposition strategies and solutions based on customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create customized data storage solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction.
  • Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans for new customer acquisition.
  • Manage a robust pipeline of sales activity to meet quarterly and annual quotas.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in Fed Civ sales, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Fed Civ procurement process, including experience with RFIs, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
  • 5 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10M per year in revenues.
  • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency.
  • Expertise leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, while fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with Federal system integrators.
  • Avid hunter with proven prospecting skills, consistently opening doors to new customers.
  • Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges.
  • Thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset to position Pure's portfolio to solve persistent problems or create new customer value.
  • Skilled in delivering business results and leveraging CRM tools to track and manage success metrics for the territory.
  • Passionate about post-sales customer success.
