Job Description
The role involves selling Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage solutions to commercial customers in the East Bay Area, building strong customer relationships, leading sales strategies, and exceeding sales quotas through consultative and team-based selling efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Evangelize Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to customers
- Build and develop relationships with customers to demonstrate Pure's value and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources and secure new customers
- Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Assess customer needs and position solutions to address business challenges
- Prospect and open new customer accounts through effective outreach and relationship building
- Lead complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and foster teamwork with partners
- Drive post-sales customer success and ensure ongoing customer engagement
Requirements
- 8 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10 million USD per year in revenues
- Experience selling into Commercial customers in the East Bay Area or living and currently selling in the Bay Area
- Ability to lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to ensure all internal resources are engaged to execute and win new customers
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quota and driving referenceable business
- Experience building and investing in relationships with customers to establish value and drive customer satisfaction ratings
- Ability to build relationships easily and deepen them over time through excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication
- Expertise leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners
- Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a sales territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency
- Avid hunter with proven prospecting skills, consistently opening doors to new customers and positioning solutions effectively
- Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges
- Thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset, with the ability to apply customer insights and technology expertise to position solutions
- Ability to evangelize all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions, ensuring customers understand the total value proposition
- Physical ability to navigate between the boardroom and the data center as part of the sales process
