Job Description

The role involves selling Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage solutions to commercial customers in the East Bay Area, building strong customer relationships, leading sales strategies, and exceeding sales quotas through consultative and team-based selling efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evangelize Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to customers
  • Build and develop relationships with customers to demonstrate Pure's value and ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources and secure new customers
  • Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Assess customer needs and position solutions to address business challenges
  • Prospect and open new customer accounts through effective outreach and relationship building
  • Lead complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and foster teamwork with partners
  • Drive post-sales customer success and ensure ongoing customer engagement

Requirements

  • 8 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10 million USD per year in revenues
  • Experience selling into Commercial customers in the East Bay Area or living and currently selling in the Bay Area
  • Ability to lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to ensure all internal resources are engaged to execute and win new customers
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quota and driving referenceable business
  • Experience building and investing in relationships with customers to establish value and drive customer satisfaction ratings
  • Ability to build relationships easily and deepen them over time through excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication
  • Expertise leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners
  • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a sales territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency
  • Avid hunter with proven prospecting skills, consistently opening doors to new customers and positioning solutions effectively
  • Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges
  • Thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset, with the ability to apply customer insights and technology expertise to position solutions
  • Ability to evangelize all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions, ensuring customers understand the total value proposition
  • Physical ability to navigate between the boardroom and the data center as part of the sales process

Annual base salary range of $139,000 to $222,500 USD
