Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for recruiting, training, and leading a sales team to achieve targets while fostering relationships with key decision-makers. This role involves assessing team processes, providing sales forecasts, and collaborating with internal departments to drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and inspire a sales team to achieve targets.
- Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts, updated weekly.
- Establish and grow productive and professional relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Support the negotiation and closing of agreements in support of the sales team.
- Collaborate with internal customers and cross-functional departments to drive positive business outcomes.
- Stay informed about competitive activity and share knowledge with internal teams as appropriate.
- Conduct constructive and timely annual performance reviews for direct reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in sales.
- 1 to 2 years of experience leading and motivating sales teams to maximum potential.
- Valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 40%, often overnight or for multiple days.
