Job Description
The PosiGen Field Service Helper - Removal Reinstall is an entry-level position focused on providing training and mentorship for individuals aspiring to become Field Service Technicians, involving hands-on learning in the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic systems and energy efficiency upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and assist experienced technicians on job sites.
- Gradually take on responsibilities such as equipment installation and basic site inspections.
- Learn to use tools and troubleshoot basic issues related to PV systems.
- Participate in customer interactions to develop communication skills.
- Assist with documentation and maintaining accurate records.
- Actively participate in training sessions and seek guidance from mentors.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean workspace.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing PV systems.
- Support technicians in conducting physical inspections of PV systems.
- Prepare and organize tools and equipment for field service.
Requirements
- Must be comfortable working on roofs.
- High school diploma or trade school degree in a discipline related to construction or building sciences.
- 1 to 3 years of roofing experience preferred.
- Must have a valid state driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment screening process.
- Ability to work in a variety of extreme environmental conditions (e.g., high heat, cold temperatures).
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders, ascend/descend stairs, and work on rooftops of multi-level buildings, as well as within confined spaces such as attics.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to speak and hear regularly while performing the duties of this role.
- Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.
