Job Description

Cognitive Level - Substantial: Consistent use of logic or scientific thinking to define problems, collect information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Requirements

3+ years of nuclear licensing at a nuclear facility to include experience with NRC submittals/RAIs, strong technical writing/change control, and familiarity with Oregon laws and rules.
Direct ISFSI licensing experience (10 CFR Part 72)
Prior interface with Oregon state agencies (e.g., OHA, OEM, DEQ) and local emergency planning authorities.
Experience with quality assurance under 10 CFR 72 Subpart G and ANSI/ASME NQA-1 programs.
Knowledge of NEI guidance and NRC regulatory guidance applicable to ISFSIs (e.g., RGs, NUREGs).
Experience with Technical Writing
Advanced knowledge of basic design features and operating characteristics of ISFSI structures and components
Advanced knowledge of federal and state licensing and reporting requirements, including preparation of documents and report submissions
Advanced knowledge of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT)
Advanced knowledge of radiation protection related to emergency planning
Advanced knowledge of federal regulations concerning screenings/evaluations for proposed changes, tests, or experiments affecting the ISFSI
Advanced ability to plan, organize and carry out program-related activities, i.e., emergency response drills/exercises, training programs
Advanced ability to collect and analyze radiation exposure data and perform relevant calculations
