Job Description
The role involves supporting the operations team in maintaining and automating the largest constellation of Earth observation satellites, including data analysis, anomaly resolution, and software testing. The position is suited for a proactive student with a background in engineering or software development, who is passionate about space technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations of the satellite fleet
- Perform daily checks on the satellite fleet
- Identify, triage, root cause, and resolve satellite anomalies
- Develop and enhance tools to automate operations
- Develop and maintain scripts to aggregate satellite data and generate metrics
- Use metrics for data analysis to assess satellite performance and health
- Proactively improve existing processes
- Lead standalone projects to enhance satellite operations
Requirements
- Ongoing Bachelor s Degree in an Engineering, Software, or Science related field from an accredited college or technical school
- Software development experience in Python or equivalent
- Ability to access all applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing being required by the Bureau of Industry and Security and or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls
