Job Description
A student assistant role supporting the Operations team at Planet, focusing on image quality evaluation, anomaly reporting, and managing image analysis systems to ensure the integrity and continuous improvement of satellite imaging data.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate image analysis systems
- Manage customer orders and track fulfillment
- Conduct image quality evaluation
- Identify, triage, and report image anomalies
- Understand and utilize internal processes and tools
Requirements
- Pursuing a B.S or M.S Degree in an Engineering, Software, or Science related field from an accredited college or technical school
- Fundamentals of remote sensing and image processing
- Good knowledge of photogrammetry and GIS systems
- Familiarity with UNIX operating systems
- Proficiency in English, as this is the primary working language of the company
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate within own and across teams
- Ability to operate image analysis systems
- Ability to manage customer orders and track fulfillment
- Ability to carry out Image Quality Evaluation
- Ability to identify, triage, and report image anomalies
- Understanding and ability to utilize internal processes and tools
