Job Description
The role involves managing and executing complex cross-functional programs related to Planet's Insights Platform development, including coordinating efforts across teams, developing project plans, and ensuring successful product launches in a remote, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and manage complex cross-team programs through the entire product lifecycle.
- Develop and oversee end-to-end program plans, including schedules, metrics, risks, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute development, releases, and go-to-market strategies for the Insights Platform.
- Facilitate decision-making, identify dependencies and risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communicate progress, priorities, risks, and changes effectively across organizational levels.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software development or program management experience in the areas of SaaS, platform development, APIs, Analytics, or UX.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects across a broad organization.
- Experience with the product life cycle concept through development, launch preparation, go-to-market, deprecations, and end-of-life.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills paired with the ability to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Ability to explain analyses and recommendations to business leaders as well as discuss technical trade-offs with engineers.
- Ability to balance the tactical day-to-day work with forward-looking improvements to scale operational efficiencies.
