Job Description

The role involves supporting satellite imagery collection planning and operations, including data analysis, feasibility studies, and developing operational tools to ensure efficient Earth observation satellite tasks are executed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support satellite collection planning during operational processes
  • Prepare geospatial data, maps, and dashboards for analysis
  • Conduct feasibility studies for satellite imagery acquisition
  • Develop, validate, and automate operational tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including image quality, orbit, mission software, space operations, data pipeline, and product teams

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in satellite operations, geospatial data analysis, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, or geo science.
  • Software development experience in Python or an equivalent programming language.
  • Data-driven mindset and comfortable with data analysis.
  • Sound SQL skills and familiarity with git version control.
  • Understanding of satellite imagery and remote sensing.
  • Self-starter who proactively tackles problems and brings in their own ideas.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Team player with an ability to learn and collaborate across teams.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, the language of the company.
  • Application of EAR ITAR requirements, including the ability to access export-controlled information without additional export licensing being required by the Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
