Job Description
The Associate Pre-Sales Engineer at Planet will support the APJ Sales Engineering team by preparing geospatial data, conducting research, and assisting customers in utilizing Planet's suite of products to address their specific needs. This remote position requires expertise in geodata management and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with sales engineers to understand customer needs
- Prepare geospatial data for sales processes
- Search for compelling data examples in Planet's image archives
- Conduct literature and press research for demonstration use-cases
- Provide detailed research reports to the APJ Pre-Sales team
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in a relevant field.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience in geodata management and processing.
- Knowledge in GIS, coordinate reference systems, and digital image processing.
- Understanding of distributed systems, cloud platform, API, and software tools.
- Scripting experience in Python.
- Experience working with satellite remote sensing data.
- Ability to work in APJ time zones and work remotely.
- Experience working in a team environment.
