Job Description
The role involves developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans for the Industrial Components Electronics segment, focusing on driving revenue growth in Wisconsin and Illinois. It requires leadership in managing a team of sales engineers, fostering a high-performance environment, and building relationships with key accounts and distribution partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical regional plans aligned with sales and marketing objectives.
- Provide leadership and oversight in the implementation of sales plans, collaborating with the sales team and distribution partners.
- Meet or exceed sales growth objectives established by management.
- Develop tactical implementation of sales and marketing strategies through effective communication and delegation.
- Implement approved plans, policies, and programs from sales and marketing management.
- Forecast, report, and communicate sales performance to the Director of Sales.
- Utilize CRM for communication, planning, reporting, and tracking to increase productivity.
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and distribution channels.
- Monitor and evaluate assigned KPIs and report findings monthly.
- Participate in regional industry associations and sales promotion activities.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Phoenix Contact products and solutions.
Requirements
- Four-year degree required; Engineering discipline preferred.
- 5-7 years outside sales experience required.
- Must have experience in working with industrial and automation distributors.
- Proficient with Windows based applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with a customer relationship management software package required.
- Must be able to travel via airplane.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds (sample, demos, and literature).
- Must be able to travel overnight 35-50% as required by assigned territories.
- Attendance in accordance with company policies and participation in local, regional, and international meetings.
