Job Description
The role involves developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans for the Industrial Components Electronics segment, focusing on driving revenue growth in the Pacific Northwest region. The position requires leadership in managing a sales team, fostering a high-performance culture, and building relationships with key accounts and distribution partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical regional plans to align with sales and marketing objectives.
- Provide leadership and oversight in the implementation of sales plans.
- Meet and exceed sales growth objectives.
- Develop tactical implementation of sales and marketing strategies.
- Implement approved plans, policies, and programs.
- Forecast, report, and communicate sales data.
- Utilize CRM for planning, reporting, and tracking.
- Build and maintain a high-performance sales team.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing team members.
- Build relationships with key accounts and distribution channels.
- Monitor and evaluate KPIs, reporting monthly to the Director of Sales.
- Participate in regional industry associations and activities.
- Plan and manage sales promotion activities within the region.
- Conduct performance reviews of direct reports.
- Maintain knowledge of Phoenix Contact products and solutions.
- Develop and optimize local and regional distributor channels.
Requirements
- Four-year degree required; Engineering discipline preferred.
- 5-7 years outside sales experience required.
- Must have experience in working with industrial and automation distributors.
- Proficient with Windows based applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with a customer relationship management software package required.
- Must be able to travel via airplane.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds (sample, demos, and literature).
- Must be able to travel overnight 35-50% as required by assigned territories.
- Attendance in accordance with company policies and participation in local, regional, and international meetings is required.
