Job Description

The Network Sales Engineer at EtherWAN serves as a subject matter expert on the company's products and technologies, responsible for engaging with internal and external stakeholders, conducting training, managing field engagements, and assisting customers with network design and product recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert on EtherWAN products and technologies.
  • Conduct product introductions and communicate value propositions to stakeholders.
  • Project manage field engagements with business development and sales teams.
  • Engage collaboratively with prospects, partners, and customers.
  • Ideate technology needs from the market and communicate to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Conduct in-person and web-based training sessions on networking.
  • Assist in creating training materials for EtherWAN Academy.
  • Perform network audits and assist in network design recommendations.
  • Simulate client environments to assess product feasibility.
  • Cross-reference third-party products with EtherWAN offerings.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and customer needs.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding EtherWAN products.
  • Conduct follow-ups and customer meetings as needed.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to generate and grow revenue.
  • Log technical support cases and customer engagement information in CRM.
  • Research and author technical papers as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent in experience.
  • 3 years plus of customer facing experience.
  • Understanding of differences between IT and OT networking environments.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the OSI Network Reference Model, Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switching, Spanning Tree Protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP), TCP/IP, and Routing Protocols (RIP and OSPF) is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate professional presentation skills on complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient with CRM, Microsoft Visio, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Able to travel 65% of the time.
  • Must be able to travel via airplane for up to 6 hours.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel via automobile for up to six hours at a time.
  • Must be able to travel overnight.
  • Must be able to sit for 4 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Benefits & Perks

Compensation/salary range: 95,000 - 120,000
Work schedule: Must be able to travel overnight and via airplane for up to 6 hours
