Job Description
The Business Development Application Engineer (BDAE) will provide technical expertise to support sales of Phoenix Contact products related to power circuit management, while collaborating with sales teams to enhance customer relationships and market penetration.
Key Responsibilities
- Increase annual sales revenue for power circuit products at targeted accounts.
- Coordinate with local sales engineers on joint sales activities and training.
- Act as the local technical representative for power-related products.
- Develop sales tools and drive marketing campaigns.
- Provide customer insights for product line expansion.
- Meet or exceed sales growth objectives set by management.
- Implement global national account strategies with Key Account Management.
- Drive value-added power solutions.
- Utilize CRM for customer planning and opportunity tracking.
- Demonstrate technical competence on all product solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical discipline.
- Two years previous sales or marketing experience with electrical electronic products.
- Ability to work independently from home office and communicate effectively with colleagues with limited supervision.
- Must be able to travel via airplane.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. for samples, demos, and literature.
- Must be able to travel overnight 60% or as required.
- Punctuality in all aspects is required.
