Job Description
The Field Premium Auditor performs complex workers' compensation and general liability audits by examining financial records and business operations of policyholders, ensuring accurate premium calculations and compliance with industry regulations, primarily working remotely in the Los Angeles area.
Key Responsibilities
- Review policyholders' financial records, payroll registers, and relevant documents to ensure accurate premium calculations.
- Analyze business operations to determine appropriate risk classifications for policies.
- Document audit findings, including operational changes, risk exposures, and claims reviews.
- Maintain records of communications with policyholders in the electronic audit system.
- Engage with policyholders and agents to clarify rules and regulations impacting premiums.
- Respond to inquiries from agents, insureds, and internal teams regarding audit procedures and compliance.
- Stay informed about industry updates and changes related to premium auditing through industry resources.
- Utilize technology to organize, schedule, and complete audit tasks.
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, risk management or an equivalent of education and experience.
- Minimum of five years experience as a premium auditor with carrier or vendor experience.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of WCIRB, NCCI and Independent Bureau resources such as Basic and Scopes manuals.
- Experience with General Liability and Auto Dealers premium audit is preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
