Job Description
The Logistics Specialist will manage warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, internal materials flow, and outbound shipping, supporting the scaling of ocean wave-powered renewable energy systems from prototypes to production in a fast-paced aerospace hardware startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage core warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, internal materials flow, and outbound shipping
- Ensure accurate tracking, organization, and documentation of inbound and outbound materials
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment safely for material handling
- Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering teams to deliver parts and hardware to build areas
- Develop and implement warehouse procedures, layouts, and material flow strategies
- Support process improvements and growth initiatives in warehousing and logistics operations
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years experience in logistics, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or material handling.
- Strong hands-on capability across unloading, receiving, stocking, picking, and packing.
- Forklift-certified or at least 2 years forklift experience with strong safety awareness.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced manufacturing, aerospace hardware startup environments.
- Proficient with basic computer applications including email, spreadsheets, labeling tools, and familiar with ERP, WMS, or interim inventory systems.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license.
