The Quality Control Technician is responsible for reviewing project documentation, verifying solar and HVAC system installations, and ensuring quality standards are met to support the long-term performance of renewable energy assets.
Key Responsibilities
Review and close-out milestone project documents, photos, and design details to ensure quality standards.
Verify that sold systems' production matches installed designs for third-party ownership products.
Assess solar monitoring platforms for accurate system mapping and functionality of critical components.
Approve or reject project milestones promptly, communicating clearly with external partners.
Support data collection to drive partner accountability and promote a culture of quality.
Evaluate installation photos and job close-out documentation for compliance and accuracy.
Review design materials and verify consistency between sold production and physical installation.
Maintain current knowledge of installation practices, products, and new technology integration.
Handle incoming communication systems to resolve project kickbacks efficiently.
Identify trends or issues with partners and provide actionable recommendations.
Requirements
2-4 years of experience in a technical or construction based solar role
Experience with interdepartmental problem solving or project management
Experience in photovoltaic design preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with and influence third parties
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Excellent analytical skills
Experience with standard business tools such as G-Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.
