Job Description
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for reviewing project documentation, verifying solar and HVAC system installations, and ensuring quality standards are met to support the long-term performance of renewable energy assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and close-out milestone project documents, photos, and design details to ensure quality standards.
- Verify that sold systems' production matches installed designs for third-party ownership products.
- Assess solar monitoring platforms for accurate system mapping and functionality of critical components.
- Approve or reject project milestones promptly, communicating clearly with external partners.
- Support data collection to drive partner accountability and promote a culture of quality.
- Evaluate installation photos and job close-out documentation for compliance and accuracy.
- Review design materials and verify consistency between sold production and physical installation.
- Maintain current knowledge of installation practices, products, and new technology integration.
- Handle incoming communication systems to resolve project kickbacks efficiently.
- Identify trends or issues with partners and provide actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in a technical or construction based solar role
- Experience with interdepartmental problem solving or project management
- Experience in photovoltaic design preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with and influence third parties
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience with standard business tools such as G-Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
