Job Description
The Procurement Manager will oversee procurement processes for Distributed Generation solar projects, focusing on vendor management, pricing strategies, and logistics to ensure efficient project execution. The role requires strong project management skills and experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare projections and perform analytics on project portfolios and pricing forecasts.
- Interview and screen potential vendors and material suppliers.
- Support the pricing solicitation process and facilitate pre-bid meetings.
- Work with vendors to secure advantageous pricing and terms.
- Create and maintain a pricing database in the CRM platform.
- Finalize purchase order details and associated logistics.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses.
- Manage product logistics and share information on vendor performance.
- Oversee risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional team members for project deliveries.
- Support the vendor qualification process and maintain the Approved Vendor List.
- Monitor long-term supply chain dynamics to direct purchasing efforts.
- Prepare presentation materials for Investment Committee approvals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- 2 years of proven experience in renewable energy or a related industry
- Strong track record of success in launching new initiatives, project management, budgeting, and resource team management
- Knowledge of renewable energy suppliers, transformers, switchgear, and electrical equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects
- Self-motivated with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability
- Working knowledge with Microsoft Office 365, project management, and CRM software such as Salesforce
- Ability to travel and access sites of varying terrain
- Must carry an active driver's license with acceptable driving record

Compensation/salary range: 75,000 - 110,000
