Job Description
Oklo is hiring a Senior Facilities Manager to lead facility operations across our offices, laboratories, warehouses, test facilities, and other non-reactor spaces.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in facilities, workplace operations, construction management, industrial operations, warehousing, logistics, or a related function.
- Experience supporting a multi-site portfolio that includes laboratories, warehouses, test facilities, light industrial space, or advanced manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with facility operations, vendors, maintenance, moves, tenant improvements, leases, landlords, and service contracts.
- Experience managing budgets, capital plans, forecasts, and facility or space decisions.
- Ability to establish scalable practices, work across functions, communicate with executives, and operate effectively in changing conditions.
- Ability and willingness to travel among Oklo facilities and prospective locations.
- Experience in nuclear, aerospace, energy, advanced manufacturing, research laboratories, defense, semiconductor, or another regulated or technically complex industry.
- Experience establishing a facilities or site-operations function in a growing organization.
- Familiarity with facilities, work-order, inventory, warehouse-management, enterprise resource planning, or space-planning systems.
- Experience supporting controlled materials or improving receiving, inventory, storage, handling, and shipping processes.
- Relevant credentials in facilities, construction, project management, safety, or supply chain.
- We are looking for a Senior Facilities Manager who is:
- A hands-on owner who can manage the full portfolio while solving practical site problems
- A builder of simple systems and standards that can scale without creating unnecessary process.
- Comfortable moving between facility strategy, lease and vendor discussions, project execution, and day-to-day operations.
- Commercially astute and able to evaluate costs, negotiate agreements, and make sound recommendations.

- Comfortable in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environment

- Able to communicate technical content and results verbally

- Oklo requires remote employees to travel to headquarters (Santa Clara, CA) twice a quarter annually, based on business or team needs, including attendance at team meetings, off-sites, and other company events or gatherings. For the first two weeks of onboarding, employees are required to be in person at headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.
