The Solar Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and installing equipment at solar power plants, ensuring safe and efficient operation while adhering to standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot, test, repair, and install equipment in solar power plants following established standards and procedures
Operate and perform maintenance on solar power plants ensuring safety and professionalism
Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues promptly
Conduct daily mechanical and electrical inspections of equipment
Document work activities, including work orders, service logs, and emergency schedules
Manage inventory of equipment to ensure adequate stock levels
Train, mentor, and develop laborers and apprentices
Perform safety training and continuing education to meet plant requirements
Work outside of normal hours and participate in on-call rotation as needed
Requirements
Valid Driver's License
At least 3 years suitable employment experience in a related field
High aptitude and a strong work ethic
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read and interpret electrical schematics
Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $25 - $45 per hour
Work schedule: May require work outside of normal business hours, on-call rotation schedule
