Job Description
The Solar Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, repair, and installation of equipment in solar power plants, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures while providing high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, test, repair, and install equipment in solar power plants
- Operate and maintain solar power plants according to established standards
- Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues promptly
- Perform daily mechanical and electrical inspections of installed equipment
- Document work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information
- Maintain inventory control of assigned equipment
- Ensure high quality control of tools, vehicles, and materials
- Train, mentor, and develop laborers into Apprentices
- Ensure continuing education to meet safety and plant requirements
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License is REQUIRED.
- 3 years suitable employment experience.
- Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to perform basic electrical calculations and read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision.
