The Lead Technician at Origis Energy is responsible for providing technical leadership, ensuring safety, quality, and performance of solar energy sites, and managing maintenance, troubleshooting, and team development to support the company's renewable energy operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage site safety and accident prevention programs, conduct safety inspections and briefings, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain solar plant systems to ensure safety, quality, and optimal performance.
Support and oversee contractors and OEM vendors, ensuring proper documentation, maintenance schedules, and inventory control.
Perform electrical and mechanical inspections, troubleshoot electrical components, and resolve system issues.
Provide technical training and mentorship to site technicians and build team capability through training and development programs.
Requirements
Valid Driver's License
Inverter Specialist or Solar Technician with 3 years experience
Knowledgeable of renewable energy peculiarities and expertise in DC array technology
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read and interpret electrical schematics
Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs.
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Minimum Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Training for General Industry, NFPA 70E Workplace Electrical Safety, First Aid, CPR, AED
