Job Description
The Solar Landscaping and Maintenance position at Origis Energy involves managing vegetation at a solar power plant, operating landscaping machinery, and maintaining equipment. The role may also include training as a Solar Technician and requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage vegetation control at Solar Power Plant
- Operate and maintain landscaping machinery and equipment
- Document work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules
- Maintain inventory control of assigned equipment
- Ensure high quality control on tools, vehicles, and materials
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Solid understanding of working tractors and associated landscaping machinery
- Knowledgeable of maintenance requirements and capable of maintaining the equipment
- Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to, work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules
- Maintains inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels
- Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including kneel, crawl, lifting, pushing, pulling up to 80 pounds
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions such as heat, cold, and uneven terrain
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands to dexterously maneuver small parts such as wires, screws, and various components within mechanical equipment
