Job Description
The Supply Planning Lead will manage inventory levels within the distribution network, collaborating with various departments and external partners to optimize supply chain efficiency while maintaining high customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels within the distribution network
- Collaborate with commercial and operational departments and external supply partners
- Balance material volume control with maintaining customer service levels
- Optimize and improve the effectiveness of the supply chain
Requirements
- Experience in supply chain management, specifically in inventory planning and control, with a proven track record of playing a critical role in managing inventory levels within a distribution network.
- Ability to work closely with commercial and operational departments, as well as external supply partners, to balance efficient control of material volumes and maintain optimal customer service levels.
- Strong understanding of supply chain optimization and effectiveness, with the ability to influence and improve supply chain processes.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience in developing and implementing supply planning strategies that ensure inventory levels are maintained appropriately to meet organizational goals.
- Ability to analyze supply chain data and inventory metrics to inform decision-making and improve supply chain performance.
- Proficiency in supply planning tools, software, or systems relevant to inventory management (specific tools not specified but implied).
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a degree of flexibility and adaptability.
