Job Description
A Solar PV installer responsible for installing solar panel systems on roofs across the UK, helping to promote renewable energy and support customers in fighting climate change while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops
- Assist customers with the installation process and provide technical support
- Ensure installations comply with safety standards and regulations
- Inspect and test installed systems for proper operation
- Maintain and manage installation tools and equipment
Requirements
- Experience as a Roofers Solar PV installer or in a similar solar PV installation role
- Ability to install Solar PV systems on roofs in accordance with safety standards and technical specifications
- Knowledge of low carbon technology such as solar panels and the installation processes involved
- Proficiency in using tools and hardware necessary for solar PV installation
- Physical ability to perform roofing and solar panel installation tasks, including working at heights and lifting equipment or materials
- Ability to work as part of a team across various locations in the UK
- Commitment to providing high levels of customer service during installation and aftercare
- Willingness to follow health and safety regulations and procedures during installations
