Job Description
The Smart Meter Engineer will be responsible for installing smart meters in customers' homes, educating them on how to use the meters and in-home displays to save energy, and providing excellent customer service while representing the company's brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Install smart meters in customer homes
- Educate customers on meter functionality and energy savings
- Answer customer inquiries about the green energy revolution
- Collaborate with the office team to achieve performance goals
Requirements
- Proven track record of safety and customer excellence in smart meter installation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and explain how their meter and in-home display work.
- Experience in fitting smart meters and answering customer questions about energy saving and the green energy revolution.
- Participation in a quick trades test to demonstrate skills.
- Demonstrated customer-engagement experience through online questions.
- Willingness to have a short interview with the area manager to discuss experience and motivation.
