Job Description
A Senior Backend Engineer at Octopus Energy Japan will lead the development of scalable and reliable backend services to support innovative energy products and solutions, contributing to the company's mission of accelerating the green energy transition and making a tangible impact on customers and society.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead backend development for new products and services.
- Build scalable and reliable backend services to support energy solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend systems with other departments.
Requirements
- Experience in leading backend development and building scalable, reliable services that power energy-related products or similar systems.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Ability to lead backend domain and contribute to the development of new products.
- Ability to work in Japan or in the Tokyo office (remote candidates considered but must be able to work in Japan).
- Availability to work within the employment transfer process from Kraken Tech Japan to Octopus Energy at a future date.
