Job Description
This internship offers an opportunity for candidates from Black, Black British, African, or Caribbean backgrounds to gain experience in talent acquisition at Octopus Energy, supporting their mission to promote diversity and inclusiveness within the energy industry while contributing to the company's renewable energy goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in talent acquisition processes, including application screening and interview coordination.
- Support the development of diversity and inclusion initiatives within the recruitment team.
- Contribute to creating engaging content and communications related to internship programs.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate on projects to promote company culture and values.
Requirements
- Candidates must identify with any Black, Black British, African, or Caribbean background, as the internship is only open to individuals from these backgrounds.
- Applicants must be able to commit to full-time work during the internship duration from 6th July to 28th August.
- Applicants must be available to work at the London office location during the internship period.
- Applicants must be able to upload a cover letter of no more than 500 words as part of the application process, instead of a CV.
- Applicants should demonstrate a passion for Octopus Energy’s mission to drive the global renewable revolution and make green energy affordable for all.
- Applicants must be able to articulate why they are interested in Octopus Energy and what they can bring to the internship.
- Applicants must be able to provide a personal story demonstrating going above and beyond to help others, emphasizing qualities of kindness and initiative.
- Applicants should be able to share a brief lesson or topic they would teach the company if given two minutes, unrelated to energy, demonstrating communication skills and creativity.
- Applicants must be able to communicate any specific accommodations needed during the interview process to ensure a comfortable and accessible experience.
