Job Description
The internship involves supporting the development and implementation of energy flexibility solutions, particularly within the Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) program, by assisting with project management, stakeholder reporting, and hands-on testing to aid in the transition to a net-zero energy system.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) pilots and infrastructure projects.
- Assist with stakeholder reporting and communication related to energy flexibility projects.
- Conduct hands-on testing at dedicated facilities to support project implementation.
- Collaborate with the Programme Manager to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
- Candidates must identify with any Black, Black British, African or Caribbean background, as the internship is only open to these candidates.
- Ability to support projects related to Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) programmes, including assisting with stakeholder reporting and hands-on testing at dedicated facilities.
- Willingness to work full-time from July 6th to August 28th, 2026, at the London office.
- Availability to work in the London office during the internship period.
- Ability to support the development and implementation of energy flexibility solutions to help achieve Net Zero emissions.
- Strong interest in the energy transition, decarbonisation, and innovative energy solutions.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and passion for Octopus Energy’s mission to drive the renewable revolution and make green energy affordable for all.
- Excellent communication skills to work closely with the Programme Manager and other team members.
- Ability to support both high-level stakeholder reporting and hands-on testing activities.
- Willingness to upload a cover letter of no more than 500 words instead of a CV, explaining why they are a good fit for the internship and their motivation.
