Job Description
The internship involves developing innovative solutions to enhance energy flexibility and decarbonization efforts at Octopus Energy, including conducting research on customer behavior and supporting the company's mission to promote renewable energy and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative assessments to support the flexibility strategy.
- Research customer base and analyze consumer behavior insights.
- Develop and implement transformational solutions to enhance energy flexibility.
Requirements
- Candidates must identify with any Black, Black British, African, or Caribbean background, as the internship is only open to candidates who meet this criterion.
- Must be available to work full-time at the London office from 6th July to 28th August.
- Must be able to commit to the internship duration of approximately 8 weeks (from 6th July to 28th August).
- Must be able to upload a cover letter of no more than 500 words as part of the application process, instead of a CV.
- Must demonstrate a passion for Octopus Energy's mission to drive the global renewable revolution and make green energy affordable for all.
- Must be able to provide robust quantitative and qualitative assessments to support the company's flexibility strategy.
- Must be capable of conducting research into customer behavior and providing insights on consumer behavior to the team.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and contribute to developing transformational solutions for energy flexibility.
- Must be committed to promoting equality and diversity in the workplace, aligning with the company's values.
- Must be able to work in accordance with the application deadline of April 17th, 2026.
