Job Description

The internship involves supporting the Customer Operations team at Octopus Energy to enhance customer experiences and streamline processes related to the transition to zero-carbon driving, with opportunities to contribute ideas, problem-solve, and engage directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing customer journeys from contracting to car delivery and after-sales support.
  • Collaborate with the customer experience team and other departments to ensure high-quality customer interactions.
  • Provide feedback on current service processes and suggest improvements based on experience.
  • Problem solve to ensure smooth customer transitions and resolve blockers as they arise.
  • Communicate with customers via phone or email to support their transition to driving an EV.

Requirements

  • Candidates must identify with any Black, Black British, African or Caribbean background, as the internship is only open to these candidates.
  • Ability to work full-time at the London office from 6th July to 28th August.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a desire to learn by getting involved in tasks.
  • A passion for problem solving and going above and beyond to ensure a great customer experience.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a close-knit team.
  • A curious and keen-eye for detail to spot areas of improvement, with the ability to provide examples.
  • Ability to be a natural finisher and an effective operator who leaves no loose ends.
  • Willingness to gain insight into a rapidly growing company and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills to speak to customers via phone or email to assist in their journey towards driving an EV.
  • No previous knowledge of EVs or the automotive industry is required.
