Job Description

This internship role involves supporting high-impact renewable energy and investment projects in emerging markets, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, by analyzing complex markets, translating research into insights, and working closely with senior leadership to scale clean energy opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Support high-impact renewable energy and investment projects across emerging markets, focusing on sub-Saharan Africa.
Analyze complex markets and translate research into clear insights.
Assist in originating, evaluating, and scaling clean energy opportunities.
Work closely with senior leadership to support project development and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

Support high-impact renewable energy and investment projects across emerging markets, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa.
Enjoy analysing complex markets, translating research into clear insights, and gaining hands-on experience in how Octopus originates, evaluates, and scales clean energy opportunities working closely with senior leadership from day one.
Be proactive, curious, and highly motivated to support the Global Opportunities team in their special projects engine of Octopus Energy Generation.
Demonstrate a passion for driving the global renewable revolution and making green energy affordable for all.
Be currently studying or have studied in a relevant field (such as energy, environmental science, economics, international development, or related disciplines).
Have the ability to work full-time from 6 July to 28 August 2026 in London.
Be willing to support projects that involve working in international markets, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.
