Job Description
The Finance Manager will be responsible for providing accurate and insightful gross margin financial reporting, analysis, and support to improve margins within Octopus Energy's UK supply business, while collaborating with global teams and supporting industry change preparations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely, accurate, and insightful Gross Margin financial reporting at Month End and Year End
- Analyze datasets to support margin improvement initiatives, such as pricing of Time Of Use tariffs
- Support global teams by sharing best practices and assisting with industry changes like Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement
Requirements
- Experience in financial reporting, analysis, and providing insights related to Gross Margin, including at Month End and Year End.
- Ability to support other teams to improve margin, such as pricing of Time Of Use tariffs.
- Proven experience supporting global teams and sharing best practices across different regions.
- Strong understanding of industry changes like Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement.
- Ability to work in a hybrid role based out of London with a commitment to spend at least 3 days a week in the office.
- Relevant professional experience in finance or a related field (implied, as the role is for a Finance Manager).
