Job Description
The Engineering Lead for the Analytics Platform at Octopus Energy will oversee the development and adoption of the company's global data analytics platform, driving technical innovation, setting standards, and enabling scalable data products to support energy and AI initiatives aimed at achieving Net Zero.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the development and adoption of the analytics platform globally.
- Lead technical innovation, set standards, and enable scalable data products.
- Oversee the deployment of data workflows, including automation, machine learning, and natural language queries.
- Guide the analytics engineering teams in deploying scalable data solutions.
- Collaborate on improving data infrastructure to support energy performance measurement and smart tariffs.
Requirements
- Experience in leading analytics engineering teams and owning the development and deployment of data platforms at an advanced level.
- Ability to drive technical innovation, set standards, and enable the adoption of data platforms and data products globally.
- Deep technical expertise in data analytics, data engineering, or related fields.
- Experience in deploying data products that scale across large organizations or user bases.
- Strong understanding of data workflows, including automation, ELT processes, machine learning, and natural language query systems.
- Proven ability to work on data, analytics, and AI problems that contribute to sustainability or environmental goals, such as Net Zero initiatives.
