Job Description
A Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer responsible for installing and demonstrating smart meters to customers, providing energy-saving advice, and supporting the renewable energy revolution while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install dual fuel smart meters and in-home displays in customers' homes
- Demonstrate how meters and displays work and explain energy-saving benefits to customers
- Answer customer questions related to smart meters and the green energy revolution
Requirements
- Experience as a smart meter engineer with a proven track record of safety and customer excellence.
- Ability to represent the company's brands professionally in customers' homes.
- Comfortable communicating with customers, including explaining how meters and in-home displays work, how they can help save energy, and answering questions about green energy initiatives.
- Willingness to perform meter fitting and installation tasks.
- Ability to demonstrate good customer service skills and technical knowledge related to smart meters and in-home displays.
- Availability to undergo a process that typically takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the recruitment team and support staff throughout the hiring process.
- Willingness to adapt to evolving processes and shift focus from administrative tasks to service delivery, supported by company technology.
- Possession of the necessary tools and environment to perform the job effectively (implied requirement for equipment and workspace).
