Job Description
The Commercial Manager at Octopus Energy for Business will lead the development of innovative energy solutions for large business customers, focusing on expanding offerings beyond traditional tariffs into on-site renewables, batteries, flexibility, and power purchase agreements, while leveraging strong business development, commercial modeling, and contract skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Innovate with large business customers to meet their energy needs beyond traditional tariffs
- Develop and analyze commercial models and contracts for energy solutions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in on-site renewables, batteries, flexibility, and PPAs
- Think creatively about energy structures to benefit customers
- Build and maintain relationships with large business clients to support energy solutions expansion
Requirements
- Strong fundamentals in business development, commercial modelling, and contracts.
- Experience in some of the technologies and contract structures related to on-site renewables, batteries, flexibility, and PPAs.
- Capacity and passion to learn quickly about new energy structures and technologies.
- Ambitious, high-ceiling individual who wants to build on their experience and grow their career alongside the company's expansion.
