Job Description
The 3PL Manager at Octopus Energy is responsible for overseeing the performance, cost, and continuous improvement of third-party logistics partnerships across inbound, storage, fulfillment, and distribution, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and sustainability through data-driven insights and strong governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the performance, cost, and continuous improvement of third-party logistics partnerships
- Ensure logistics partners deliver operational excellence, cost efficiency, and sustainability
- Manage supplier performance, commercial strategy, and operational delivery across logistics partners
Requirements
- Experience in managing third-party logistics partnerships across inbound, storage, fulfilment, and distribution functions.
- Ability to own the performance, cost, and continuous improvement of all third-party logistics partnerships.
- Proven track record of ensuring logistics partners deliver operational excellence, cost efficiency, and sustainability through data-led insight, strong governance, and open-book collaboration.
- Experience at a managerial level with the ability to drive accountability and continuous improvement across multiple logistics partners.
- Commercial acumen and outcome-driven mindset with the ability to combine data and collaboration to deliver measurable impact.
- Willingness and ability to perform site visits, primarily at the Harlow site, with additional visits scheduled based on operational demand.
- Ability to work within a flexible working policy, arranging wider working patterns around business needs.
