Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Create and update 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks.
Assist with detailing, dimensioning, and preparing drawings for manufacturing.
Revise drawings and models based on engineering feedback and design changes.
Learn and apply company drafting standards, engineering practices, and revision-control processes.
Work with engineers and designers to develop and improve mechanical designs.
Gain exposure to manufacturing and quality considerations during the design process.
Participate in design reviews and learn how designs are evaluated for function, manufacturability, and quality.
Maintain accurate and organized engineering documentation.
This internship is designed to provide meaningful hands-on experience while continuing to build your technical skills and knowledge.
Hands-On Learning: Work on real product development projects and apply what you are learning in school.
Mentorship: Work closely with experienced engineers and designers who will provide guidance and feedback.
Cross-Functional Experience: Gain exposure to Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and the product development process.
Professional Development: Build communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and engineering skills in a professional environment.

Requirements
Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Design, CAD Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree program.
Completed introductory coursework in CAD, technical drawing, or mechanical design.
Basic experience with SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD system.
Ability to read and understand basic mechanical drawings.
Understanding of basic drafting concepts such as dimensions, orthographic views, and section views.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with others.
A willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and take on new challenges.
Previous professional engineering or design experience is not required. We are looking for students who are eager to learn, develop their skills, and contribute to a team.
