A Systems Engineering Intern role focused on developing AI-powered tooling using Large Language Models to support vehicle compliance analysis and regulation understanding within the autonomous vehicle industry.
Key Responsibilities
Develop internal tooling using Large Language Models to analyze and support onroad driving compliance.
Design and implement prompt engineering strategies for LLMs to generate actionable responses.
Write Python code to interact with LLM APIs, access databases, and process data inputs and outputs.
Collaborate with team members to build and deploy user interfaces for compliance tools.
Evaluate and refine the effectiveness of developed tools through testing and iteration.
Present progress, findings, and challenges to the project team.
Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) with a focus on prompting Large Language Models (LLMs), and reviewing and evaluating outputs to ensure quality and interpretability
Ability to analyze the intent and applicability of laws, regulations, ordinances, acts, statutes, etc. in the scope of a specific system
Strong problem solving, programming, and data analytics skills in Python and SQL
Design and implement effective prompt engineering strategies to guide LLMs in generating actionable responses for Systems compliance tasks
Develop Python code to interact with LLM APIs, access databases, and process inputs and outputs
Collaborate with the team to build a deployable user interface and evaluate the tool's effectiveness through iterative testing and refinement
Regularly present progress, findings, and challenges to the project team
This is a summer internship requiring in-office presence of 3-4 days a week in Mountain View, CA
