Job Description
A Product Manager at Nuro is responsible for developing and scaling innovative tools to enhance the operations of autonomous vehicles, working closely with cross-functional teams to improve safety, efficiency, and operator workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Empathize with operators to understand their workflows
- Inform the operations roadmap by identifying necessary products and solutions
- Lead the design and development of tools to scale operational efficiency
- Define, communicate, and align product goals, requirements, and constraints
- Identify root causes of problems and incorporate feedback into solutions
- Measure success and develop tactics to accelerate progress
Requirements
- Experience building tools with engineers and the ability to be the technical representative in conversations without engineers.
- Proactive and self-directed with the ability to independently identify priorities, take accountability for projects, and execute on them without needing detailed instructions.
- Ability to create structure and extract principles from complex or messy systems, and to surface the most crucial unanswered questions and drive towards answers.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to extract important insights from available data, even if sparse or imperfect, and to identify valuable data that is missing and how to collect it.
- Deep empathy for customers and users, with the ability to fully internalize their needs and develop a strong intuition about the best ways to meet them.
- Experience in defining, designing, and developing innovative solutions that scale operations and influence the number of operators needed per vehicle.
- Ability to prioritize and define product goals, requirements, and constraints, and to communicate these effectively to cross-functional teams.
- Experience in driving high-impact initiatives by working closely with Operations, Design, Engineering, Strategy, Business Development, and Legal teams.
- Ability to surface problems, understand root causes, and incorporate feedback from internal experts and experiments into solutions.
- Experience in measuring success, tracking progress, and developing creative tactics to accelerate project timelines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights and gather input from both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a technical environment with a focus on building tools and solutions for operational efficiency.
- Educational background or experience demonstrating technical fluency to engage effectively with engineering teams.

Base salary range between $160,360 and $240,540, depending on experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills
