Job Description
The role involves developing and deploying advanced machine learning models, particularly large language and multimodal models, to enhance autonomous vehicle reasoning and planning, working closely with robotics teams to solve real-world challenges in autonomous driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and experiment with large generative models and multimodal large language models for autonomous vehicle reasoning and planning.
- Collaborate with autonomy teams to identify challenges and design holistic solutions using advanced models.
- Build and optimize data, training, evaluation, and labeling pipelines for model deployment.
- Research and implement solutions to complex problems in autonomous vehicles and large language models.
- Deploy practical AI solutions to the NuroDriver autonomous vehicle system.
Requirements
- A Master of Science (M.Sc.) or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree, preferably in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a closely related field, along with at least 3 years of focused experience in one or more of these areas.
- Subject matter expertise and research experience in one or more of the following areas: Machine Learning, Large Language Modeling, Multimodal Large Language Models (e.g., visual, audio, lidar, radar), Human Preference Feedback, Reward Modeling, Knowledge Distillation, Robotics.
- Strong programming skills in Python required and C preferred, with the ability to utilize coding best practices as part of work.
- Demonstrated ability as an independent researcher to push multi-faceted projects forward, collaborate across organizations, and deliver results in a timely manner.
- Research publications at major conferences such as RSS, ICRA, CoRL, CVPR, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, ICCV, AAAI, or similar recognized venues.
