Job Description
The Fleet Technician at Nuro is an entry-level role responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the company's fleet of robots and vehicles, ensuring high operational efficiency and supporting customer deliveries through technical and mechanical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure high vehicle uptime and efficient deliveries
- Conduct retrofits and modifications on Nuro vehicles and robots
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on vehicles and robots
- Manage fleet-related programs and collaborate with internal teams
- Follow procedures, complete checklists, and escalate issues as necessary
- Respond to emergencies and maintain a safe, organized work environment
Requirements
- College degree related to the field of computer science, engineering, or a similar technical discipline
- Clean driving record
- Proficiency in Linux
- Ability to perform light vehicle mechanical work
- Enjoy troubleshooting complex problems that require learning and understanding hardware and software dependencies
- Proactive and task-driven with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team-focused with a passion for continuous learning
- Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, and/or stoop for long periods
