Job Description

The role involves partnering with senior leadership to oversee and optimize the operations, strategy, and cross-team collaboration of Nuro's AI Platform organization, supporting autonomous vehicle development through technical program management, strategic alignment, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to define, operationalize, and improve organizational processes
  • Drive execution of critical technical programs by managing dependencies and tracking milestones
  • Facilitate collaboration across engineering teams to ensure alignment and integration
  • Manage leadership meetings, reviews, and cross-functional communications to maintain clarity and accountability
  • Anticipate risks and proactively develop solutions across engineering and partner interfaces
  • Align technical roadmap with business strategy to support autonomy development and commercialization
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure AI Platform capabilities support external use cases and integrations
  • Translate technical updates into executive insights and communications
  • Support talent planning, reviews, and engagement initiatives to foster a strong team culture

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering operations, consulting, product or program management, or technical leadership roles within large-scale software, AI, or infrastructure systems.
  • Proven technical depth with the ability to engage meaningfully in discussions across software engineering areas.
  • Experience in defining, operationalizing, and continuously improving organizational operating systems.
  • Ability to drive execution on critical technical programs by identifying long-pole dependencies, unblocking progress, and tracking key milestones across data, infrastructure, and software systems.
  • Experience facilitating collaboration between multiple teams such as AI Platform, Autonomy, and Hardware to ensure alignment and integration across all technical layers of the technology stack.
  • Experience managing leadership meetings, quarterly reviews, and cross-functional communications to maintain clarity, momentum, and accountability.
  • Ability to anticipate risks and proactively drive solutions across engineering and partner interfaces.
  • Experience serving as a thought partner to senior leadership on organization structure, strategic priorities, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to help define and track critical milestones that tie AI Platform deliverables directly to company-level objectives and commercialization timelines.
  • Experience driving alignment between technical roadmaps and business strategy to ensure architecture and tools accelerate development and customer success.
  • Experience translating complex engineering work into business impact and commercial readiness for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience working with TPMs and functional leads to maintain clear visibility into critical-path deliverables and readiness checkpoints.
  • Ability to coordinate with external commercial and partner teams to support external use cases and integrations.
  • Experience translating technical updates into executive-ready insights and communications for senior leadership and Board audiences.
  • Experience supporting headcount planning, talent reviews, and engagement initiatives in collaboration with People and Recruiting teams.
  • Ability to foster a culture of operational rigor, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong communication and influence skills to translate between engineering and business contexts and align diverse teams around shared outcomes.
  • Intrinsic motivation, bias for action, ownership, and ability to anticipate challenges to elevate operational excellence.
  • A background in engineering, computer science, or another technically rigorous discipline (preferred).
  • Experience in AI, autonomy, robotics, or large-scale software systems (preferred).
  • Consulting or strategic operations experience combining business strategy with technical problem-solving (preferred).
  • Experience supporting senior technical or executive leaders in high-growth, technically complex organizations (preferred).

Compensation/salary range between $160,000 and $240,000 depending on experience and qualifications
