Job Description
The Autonomous Vehicle Operator will be responsible for safely operating autonomous test vehicles, collecting data, troubleshooting software, and collaborating with engineers to enhance technology and workflows, while adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate autonomous vehicles and robots for up to 8 hours a day
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to advance technologies and workflows
- Utilize proprietary software to collect data and troubleshoot real-world situations
- Provide detailed and accurate feedback to engineers
- Educate the public on autonomous vehicle technologies and behaviors
Requirements
- You have a current valid CA driver's license and have been in possession of a US license for 3 years.
- You have a clean driving record and pass a criminal background check.
- You are able to reliably work our PM shift 2:00-10:30pm Pacific Time Monday through Friday, and occasionally weekends as needed.
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position including bending, squatting, stretching, and lifting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
- Sitting for up to 8 hours per day in an enclosed vehicle alone or with a co-driver.
- Ability to work in a vehicle that may brake, swerve, slow, or stop abruptly.
- Holding and grasping with hands and frequent use of feet to operate foot pedals when driving the vehicle.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $24 per hour
Work schedule: PM shift 2:00-10:30pm Pacific Time Monday through Friday, and occasionally weekends as needed
