Job Description
The Civil / Structural Engineer Intern or Co-op will work alongside other Civil / Structural Engineers to prepare drawings, calculations, and other deliverables for our clients’ design projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform existing drawing research
- Design 2-D graphics using AutoCAD, and 3-D graphics using Revit
- Update Nexus graphics standards
- Develop Nexus templates for the Structural Department
- Review codes and create project design specifications
- Assist experienced Structural Engineers with their activities as requested
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent education) in Civil Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university
- Ability to work within diverse teams assembled from Nexus, clients, and others
- Effective communication skills in order to convey ideas is a must
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and WordSeeks feedback to improve performance
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit or other drafting software desired
- Exposure to STAADPRO or similar packaged finite element programs a plus
