Job Description

The Sourcing Project Manager at Nexamp is responsible for managing supplier relationships, coordinating project timelines, and overseeing procurement and logistics for clean energy projects, with a focus on cost savings, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project timelines and supplier performance from preconstruction to PTO.
  • Analyze quotations and determine sourcing strategies using TCO tools and should-cost analysis.
  • Support supplier selection and contribute to technology roadmaps and innovation efforts.
  • Oversee equipment lists for project completeness, material readiness, and milestone adherence.
  • Lead a team of specialists to execute equipment orders and obtain engineering approvals.
  • Coordinate logistics and shipments to project sites.
  • Negotiate prices and manage project equipment budgets.
  • Establish and maintain communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders through reviews and meetings.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of experience in Supplier Quality Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Customer-oriented person with professional demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and oral communication abilities.
  • ERP knowledge and experience, e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE, Baan, Visual, etc.
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of purchasing techniques, including strategic supplier concepts.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others.
  • Understanding of inventory management requirements.
  • Previous experience working in the development cycle of new products.
  • Commodity Management, Materials Management, Procurement, and Project Management experience or education background.
  • CPIM or APICS certification or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Physical ability to work in a hybrid environment (Boston or Chicago offices) as required by the role.
